What I *actually* wore on my Honeymoon

I travel heavy, but these are the MVPs.

The Starter 🍤

Whilst last week I wrote to you from the beautiful sandy beaches of Round Hill, today I’m writing to you from our very own (for the next two days) deck balancing on top of a stunning Lagoon. We made it over to Goldeneye in Oracabessa, for the last part of our Honeymoon, and whilst both resorts we’ve stayed at are definitely in the luxury category, they’ve very different.

Round Hill is that refined luxury you’d expect of a Ralph Lauren-designed property. Goldeneye on the other hand, is a more natural luxury, it’s extremely secluded (there’s no sign at the entrance gate), very quiet and very private.

It feels like you’re on a private island with a handful of strangers - they’re currently only at 50% capacity, so I’m sure it can feel a lot livelier. There is no hotel here like Round Hill, it’s all individual properties from beach huts to villas. I think I’ve been in NY for too long, because the silence of last night (and my extensive knowledge of true crime) had me laying in bed thinking about how if someone were to break in and murder us, our next-door cottage wouldn’t hear a thing. My mind was not put to ease when I heard a movement…that turned out to be Leonard, the gecko we’ve named. Eventually, logic won and I fell asleep.

ANYWAY, I packed two Rimowa trunks for this holiday and naturally, have only worn a selection of the many pieces I packed. In my defense, I’d just come off the back of the wedding and the ‘planning’ part of my brain was exhausted. These are the winners, the pieces I kept coming back to.
