The Starter 🍤
I’ve been thinking a lot about the Mini Jodie. The asymmetrical donut (with a knot in it) shaped mini bag by Bottega Veneta, that launched in January of 2020. This bag was everywhere, and I know we’re dramatic when we talk about luxury, but maybe there was more than one pandemic… Miss ‘rona AND the Mini Jodie? This bag was clutched by every woman who had an active Instagram profile it seemed. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a fab little bag (I have one!), and just because something is popular doesn’t mean it’s bad.
Initially, the bag came out in the signature intrecciato weave, and over the years has been released in a plethora of different designs and fabrics. There’s molten metallic versions, one that looks like your Grandfather’s jumper, one that looks like a shirt (but it’s actually leather) and, of course for the exotics lovers amongst us, a python and alligator version.
So, where am I going with this..?
