The Starter 🍤
I thought the sun would never come out, but thankfully, she’s here and she’s looking even more stunning than I remember. Inevitably, when I go about the arduous task of “turning over” my wardrobe to usher in the warmth, I start to see some gaps. Of course, there’s also the realisation that I never need to buy another cropped, white short-sleeved shirt again (amongst some other pieces). Basically, this was a really lengthy way of saying: I want some things. And this newsletter is going to go through those things - they’ve pitched a tent on my wish list, with the hopes that they graduate into the permanence of my wardrobe.
Let’s cut the rambling and get into it.
The Main Course 🍔
In no particular order…
Burberry Shoes x2 (from $650/£490)
Who knew Burberry was harbouring some great summer shoe designs, Two in particular have tickled my fancy: the check slide that I mentioned in this post…
and the espadrille pumps. The espadrilles seem to be slightly more elusive and as one of the patron saints of Summer shoes, I’m surprised that she’s so mysterious (I can only find her on the Burberry US site currently). I really like the sandy check colour, and the curvaceous little wedge espadrille, at a somewhat sensible heel height make her, one of the best summer shoes I’ve spotted this year. NOTE: update, I tried these on and whilst they look FAB, they’re for slender feet, otherwise they’ll cut into the sides of your trotters.
Sandro Bandana Pieces (from $315/£219)
I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I like bandana-inspired pieces, what with my love of hip hop music, and Sandro is delivering. I’m holding out because Sandro like to do a little 25% off friends and family sale every so often and I have a feeling one is on the horizon. After having worn a pair of silk Burberry trousers to near-death, I’m really gravitating toward the blue trousers. Could I be a pleated maxi skirt girl? Because this one is giving, fun and care-free. Shorts, with a double waistband? Very Me!
2025 Rolex Oyster Perpetual ($6,500)
After having previously run my mouth about how I’m not a Rolex girlie, last year I started looking into fun colours of the Oyster Perpetual (my distain for items comes back to bite me, apparently). I discovered I’d missed out on a wonderful canary yellow dial, she was from 2021, and the preloved market is still asking for a pretty penny, so I’d resigned to waiting for her. Then I saw that the 2025 colours have been released: a lilac, a baby yellow, and a pistachio. I believe in BWE (big watch energy) for my wrists so 41mm it is and I love green so…this might have to happen.
Bernadette Skirt ($955/£690)
I keep having visions of me in this ball-gown-esque skirt with a white ribbed tank top, sneakers and a great pair of sunglasses, swanning through the streets of NYC, with a tiny bag and without a care in the world (we won’t talk about the dry cleaning). It’s very SATC.
PreLoved Louis Vuitton Men’s Shorts (prices vary)

I’m going to have to gate-keep the exact pair I’m keeping my eye on, because there’s only one BUT here are some other options. I never thought I’d be interested in jorts, and yet here we are. My intention is to get a cool pair, and have it tailored to me. Imagine with a fun little Vivienne Westwood hebo top and an ice cream in hand - it can work with a fun summer heel or sneakers and all of a sudden, she’s the coolest girl in the room!
Begum Kham Shrimp Ear Cuff ($825/€750)
It’s an embellished somewhat life-size shrimp…ear cuff. How do I not already own this?!
Stella McCartney Leopard Trousers ($1,080/£835)
To hopefully join my Sandro blue bandana silk trousers in my small but mighty silk trouser collection. I’m clearly still not over my leopard print obsession, I’m actually ashamed that I’m 32 years late to this game, when it is so very my personality. Feels like pyjamas…looks kind of like pyjamas but in a chic, effortless way, not in a I-just-rolled-out-of-bed way.
Schiaparelli Cutch (€5,500)
Daniel Roseberry’s answer to a wallet on chain, and out of all the Schiaparelli bags, this is the one that feels the most Me. As I endeavour to build up another small but mighty collection of mine, I predict this one will sneak it’s way back in my luggage the next time I make it to Paris.
Simon Miller Tie-Back Shirt (from $215/£195)

Forgive me if I’m living under a rock, but I don’t know anything about this brand except for the fact that their tie back shirts are very much intriguing me! They’re coming in some juicy stripes, as well as the usual plain black and white suspects. The length of the front tails of the shirt will fall flat over a fun skirt, shorts or trousers, if you don’t want to tuck them in. A wardrobe staple that packs an unexpected punch. There’s also a green striped dress!
Mugler Blazer ($2,800/£2,300)
You shouldn’t be surprised to see a viciously-tailored jacket in a wish list of mine. This is very vintage Thierry Mugler, with a neckline that could kill.
What’s on your wishlist?
The Dessert… 🧁
What I’ve been…
Listening to: Charli XCX - party 4 u, Lorde - What Was That, Britney Spears - Piece of Me (I’m feeling very pop-y atm)
Reading: This Book Will Bury Me - Ashley Winstead, I really enjoyed this one and I think I have to give it 5⭐️. If you like a thriller then add this to your list! Currently reading Margo's Got Money Troubles - Rufi Thorpe.
Watching: Righteous Gemstones and HACKS continue to make me cackle on a weekly basis and I’m devastated this is The Righteous Gemstones’ final season. I’m also on season 2 of Scandal lol.
Buying: I’ve been behaving…ok, fine I bought this.
Doing: I had my final wedding dress fitting this week! I’ve honestly had this dress for ages now, and so there was the worry that I might be “over” it by the time the wedding rolls around. I’m happy to report that I’m still obsessed and I smile like an idiot the whole time I try it on. The countdown is well and truly on…
On Thursday night I went to Cultured Magazine’s CULT100 event at the Guggenheim and I had no clue what to expect. As it turned out, there were a lot of celebrities roaming around (how did I get an invite?) and it was a fabulous night. I had a completely different outfit in mind, until the night before when an email came through confirming the dress code as “cocktail and formal”, so I scrambled and this is what I came up with.

I hope you enjoyed this one, let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Love,
Ca$$ie
You and Christian look fantastic! 😍
I have the Simon Miller shirt and it is such a fun yet easy piece and love that is cinches in the waist
…Now I want to buy more colors!
